Big Welcome to Rachael!
Rachael is an LPC-Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Jordan Davis, LPC-S. We are so excited to have her join us. She’s very organized, wants to help people and wants to help ThrivED grow into our vision. Rachael is patient and excited to work at ThrivED.
We wanted you all to get to know her like we have and thought it would be fun to do a little Q&A session with her so you can get to know her.
The meals she is currently providing support at are: lunch and dinner on Fridays. Come kick off the weekend with us. She’d love to have you join her at one of those by registering on our site!
First, a little about you? How’d you get here? Why’d you choose therapy?
I chose therapy because it put two of my favorite things together: caring for others and brain science. I really have a passion for people and meeting them where they’re at. Therapy provides a unique opportunity to talk, grow, and learn about yourself in a safe environment, which I’m all about!
I chose to work with Eating Disorders at ThrivED Together because there’s such a great need for support and therapy for people who are struggling with an Eating Disorder. ThrivED Together’s mission is to do just that; it’s not a side-note. I also love that at ThrivED Together, authenticity is embraced, so, I can be fully me and you can be fully you.
Colorado is my go-to vacation spot for hiking and scenery. The mountains are breath-taking.
My favorite food is Chinese, especially stir fried beef. I’m always up for trying something new.
Favorite self-care activity?
My favorite self-care activity is gardening. Might sound a little cheesy, but I’ve found in gardening that I’m growing myself just as much as the plants.
I love anything creative— watercolors, crafting, you name it! My primary hobby right now is gardening. I love how peaceful taking care of plants is and it sure is fun to eat the fruits and veggies I grow with my kid.
